Mô Tả Công Việc
As the Product Design Leader, you will oversee a team of product designers responsible for the end-to-end subscriber journey across all our products. We believe that designers do their best work when they are guided by empathetic and supportive managers, so you’ll develop your team’s skills and career aspirations and create a supportive culture for Product Design to flourish. You will improve the quality of our design work by advocating for our priorities with other teams and contributing to process and communication improvements.
You will be a member of HDbank, working alongside Program, Product, Engineering, Data, Research and Marketing counterparts to help translate strategy to operation by directly shaping our creative processes on the team. You will look across multiple cross-functional teams with a Product Design perspective to identify shared opportunities, transfer insights across platforms, and uncover nuances that require experiences to diverge. You will work with cross-functional partners and the product design team to prioritize work with the greatest impact for our users and our business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of product designers, including 1:1s, career development, and performance management.
- Organize design resources to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Guide the design work, ensure the design process runs smoothly, and deliver successful outcomes that improve the quality of the user experience.
- Provide direction on design work that challenges assumptions, encourages exploration, addresses user needs and ties to objectives, research and data.
- Identify projects that would benefit from a design-led strategy, and get alignment from partners and leadership.
- Own, handle and properly communicate escalations, providing clear information, advice and options to partners and upper management when help is needed.
- Create design concepts and drawings to determine the best product
- Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming
- Suggest improvements to design and performance to product engineers
- Employ design concepts into functional prototypes
- Perform research on product technologies and structures to implement into design concepts
- Maintain up to date on current industry trends and market conditions
- Modify and revise existing designs to meet customer expectations

- Case studies of work that you guided a team through that illustrate your thought process and that demonstrate how you’ve coached your reports.
- Record of shipping excellent UX with impact, in a managerial capacity.
- Experience managing diverse teams and co-leading those teams with Product and Engineering partners.
- Comfort in using quantitative data and qualitative research to inform product and design decisions.
- Fluency with UX design principles and how they guide users’ emotions and behaviors.
- Experience striking a productive balance between exploration and execution on a product design team, in an agile environment.
- Comfort with design and prototyping tools; express product design ideas in a visual and verbal manner, as the situation dictates, to align teams and partners.
- Ability to break down big challenges into smaller decisions framed as trade-offs (e.g. time vs. scope), and make decisions with urgency.
- Experience establishing and maintaining processes and defining goals/metrics to iteratively improve over time.
- Experience hiring and retaining diverse teams of designers and foster an inclusive culture where designers can do their best work.
